Your Tattoo Aftercare Guide

We are really happy that you have your new artwork! To ensure your tattoo heals perfectly and the colors stay vibrant for years to come, please follow this simple guide.

The initial healing process takes between 10 days and 3 weeks. During this time, your tattoo is an open wound and requires maximum care.

Immediate Care (The First Few Hours)

Protection Type When to Remove Instructions
Cling Film (Wrapping Foil) Remove after 2 hours. Wash the area and immediately begin the moisturizing process with a dedicated tattoo cream.
Adhesive Patch (Second Skin) Try to keep it on for 3 days. Showering is fine (do not soak). If you notice water leaking in or the edges peeling off, remove it, wash the tattoo, and start moisturizing.
Compress (Cream Protection) Remove after 12-24 hours. Wash, remove any residue, and begin moisturizing.

Daily Cleaning and Moisturizing

  1. Cleaning: Wash the area 2 to 3 times a day (morning and evening) with lukewarm water and neutral, antibacterial soap. Use your fingertips gently and dry with a clean paper towel by patting the area softly.

  2. Moisturizing: Apply a very thin layer of healing cream 3 times a day. The goal is for the tattoo to look shiny, not wet. Too much cream can "suffocate" the skin.

🚨 Protective Tip: If you need to cover the tattoo when sleeping or going outside (to protect against dust and friction), always use a clean white compress.

Essential Prohibitions (2 to 3 Weeks)

  • Excessive Water: Do not go to the swimming pool, jacuzzi, or sauna. Showering is fine, but avoid soaking the tattooed area.

  • Sun and Tanning: Absolutely no tanning salons or sunbathing. Sun exposure quickly fades the ink and causes severe inflammation. Sunscreen can only be used after the tattoo is completely healed (approx. 3 weeks).

  • Friction and Impact (Fitness):

    • Take 4 to 5 days off from the gym.

    • Stay away for at least 10 days from high-impact sports or sports with high friction, such as soccer, basketball, or climbing.

  • Clothing: Avoid tight clothing that can rub or irritate the tattoo. Opt for loose, breathable fabrics like cotton.

Important Warnings

  • Bleeding and Ink: It is normal for some blood and ink to come out in the first 24–48 hours. If this continues for longer, please consult a doctor.

  • "Fluid Bag" in Second Skin: If you're using Second Skin, it’s normal to see blood and ink collect inside the patch; this will not damage your tattoo.

  • Pets: Keep pet fur away from the tattoo and avoid touching it unless you are cleaning or moisturizing. Remember, it's an open wound!

We hope your healing process is smooth and your art lasts forever!
